Whitestaff

Whitestaff was made the host of the local Gathers in April of 603; it is located almost in the very center of Blackstone, on the northeastern edge of the Whitemane forest. Its major claim to fame is newly formed Whitestaff River, which pours down from the mountains west of Whitestaff, and empties into the sea just south of the town of Barradach.

As a major city in cross-Duchy travel with the river cutting the Duchy in half Whitestaff is growing from a sleepy town of horse raisers and farmers into a hub of commerce and industry. Trade posts spring up daily, and guilds vie their hand in the fledgling politics of the area.

Features and Services

Whitestaff is overseen by Lady Kaiya Farengade.

Healers and Mages Guilds:
Still governed by Lord Buttons, both the Healers Guild and the Mages Guild are run by Guildmistress Adrafae Serdanhia.

The Tavern
"The Angry Ogre Inn" is a dilapidated structure taken over by Og in May of 603. It is report ably named the Angry Ogre, for Og’s mood when wakened the week before the scheduled gather by the Dukes Guards, and ordered to pack up his kitchen and head for Whitestsaff in order to supply the Gather’s being held there. Og is currently running much the same menu as in Whitestsaff, but appears to be in the process of revising the Menu based on the availability of certain food items. Adventurers looking to pick up a few coins are well advised to speak with Og as the Taverns larders are always in need of fresh meat for the tables. Og is still known to be buying “interesting” food items that adventurers run across. Townspeople have learned to be Highly suspicious of anything containing Mushrooms served by Og during the May gather.

The Inn
"The Purple Rose II” Hooch closed his establishment in Stonereach in 603 E.R., and moved to Whitestaff to continue to support the Gathers being held there.
