Tyrangel

The Duchy of Tyrangel is located in the southeast region of Avalon, west of Therendry and north of the Duchy of Sutherlands.

In the year 226, an impassable veil formed surrounding Tyrangel. Creation of this time bubble was due to the machinations of time elementals and the actions of adventurers who had traveled backwards in time. When the people of Tyrangel realized the implications of being isolated from the surrounding lands, they turned to their leader, Talandas Stormbringer for help. Talandas assumed the title of Contessa and put in place the framework that would help her people survive by forming the Palatine of Tyrangel.

When the bubble disappeared in the year 603, the people of Tyrangel embraced the world outside - a world which saw the people and lands much changed from the former Duchy of Tyrangel they had known. For the people inside the bubble had to cope with their own problems for nearly four hundred years, those who had been outside the bubble found a new and strange land had evolved during the schism in time.

The years 603 and 604 saw trying times for the people. After lengthy negotiations, Tyrangel has rejoined Evendarr, forming alliances with the Sutherlands and Ignavis? to create a new principality. The power of the Dark Heart of the Woods spread throughout the South, and rumours spread of the return of the Render and his undead forces.

As of 606, Tyrangel is comprised of three Counties. Theisgate, Araman?, and Reah-Ki?. The Ducal colors are Green and Black and the symbol is the Griffon.
