Disarm

Disarm - Ganmarek's Limited Curse of Clumsiness
Level 1 – Celestial, Earth
"I summon a force to Disarm your <item>."

This spell causes the target to drop a specific hand-held item. The item must be dropped as soon as possible and may not be picked back up by the victim for 5 seconds. This compulsion starts when the item is dropped and only the item that the spell caster declares may be fumbled in such a fashion.

The spell caster may use a general description of the item they wish their victim to drop, such as "weapon". If the victim is holding two such items that match the description given, then the victim gets to choose which one they will drop. A shield does not match the description of "weapon" for purposes of this spell.

The disarming magics are strong enough to overcome any rope of chain that you may have attached to you hand. If the chain is unshatterable then it will become "unrung".

If the alchemical agent Paste of Stickiness was applied to the item in the last hour, the item will remain in the target's hand. However the paste will be used up in this process. If an item is spirited linked to the target then that is enough to protect it against the effects of Disarm. However, the wielder of that item must not use it for 5 seconds.

Alchemical gas globes are affected by this spell, whereas magical aura is not.
