Elements Wrath

Element's Wrath - Ilantrya's Curse of Elemental Vulnerability
Level 4 – Celestial
Note: Works only in the lands of Greyhelm
"I curse you with <stone's, flame's, lightning's, ice's> wrath."

Discovered by the wizard Ilantrya in 607ER, this spell has the effect of causing its victim to take increased effect, roughly double, from a single elemental damage type specified at the time of casting. It will stack with a Curse spell resulting in the victim taking approximately quadruple damage from the appropriate elemental type. If the victim is a creature that has a natural elemental weakness, such as a troll for example, Element's Wrath will stack with that as well.

The victim of this spell will receive increased effect from spells, weapons bearing elemental auras, thrown elemental damage (as from the Element's Fury cantrip), and other sources of the appropriate damage type (flame traps for example). A victim can be targeted by multiple castings of Element's Wrath for different elements but multiple castings for the same element will not have an additional effect.

The spell is effective until it is removed, either by a Dispel Magic or by the reverse of the spell, Remove Element's Wrath. A single casting of Remove Element's Wrath will cancel all castings currently affecting the target.

It is interesting to note that creatures which are healed by a certain element type will receive double healing if under the effect of this spell.
