NecromancyNecromancy causes great atrocities when cast on living beings, but will heal undead. Necromancy can also allow an earth caster to control or create undead. Most spells that an earth caster may cast are reversible. They can be cast as a healing spell or a necromantic attack spell. It is important to note that many people seperate "necromancy" into two categories: Necromantic magic, which involves the creation and control of undead, and Chaos magic, which encompasses all other spells with "chaos" in the verbal incantation. Evendarrian Law does not distinguish between the two. Necromancy is seen by some as the bane of Tyrra. Necromancy is believed to pervert nature, causing crops to wither and die, trees to be struck by horrible blights, and the dead to rise up from their grave. No spells need be cast specifically to do this, merely casting necromancy causes a taint on the land in which it is cast. Because of this, Necromancers are sought out and executed in most civilized lands - seen as traitors to the very land they live in. However, there are lands and Kingdoms where the casting of Necromancy and/or Chaos magic is legal, and practiced widely. It is also interesting to note that these lands experience none of the "symptoms" of harm caused to Tyrra, such as what is listed above. Necromancy Spell List
